Sierra MatchKing bullets are Sierra’s pre-eminent target bullets, engineered with one primary goal: accuracy. The 2230 MatchKing is a .30 caliber, 200 grain Hollow Point Boat Tail (HPBT) projectile designed with a very small meplat to help deliver a high ballistic coefficient, while the boat tail profile helps minimize drag. MatchKing jackets are drawn to an exacting concentricity standard (up to 0.0003 in maximum variation) and bullet weights are held to within +/- 0.3 grain for dependable lot-to-lot consistency. While some shooters have used these bullets for hunting, Sierra recommends MatchKing bullets for target shooting applications.
