The Mesa Tactical LEO Gen II Telescoping Stock Adapter lets you convert compatible Mossberg 500/590 shotgun platforms to accept AR-15 style adjustable buttstocks and pistol grips for a more modular, ergonomic tactical setup. The factory shotgun stock is replaced by this adapter, which mounts to the rear of the receiver and replicates the rear interface of an AR-15 lower receiver so a receiver extension (buffer) tube can be threaded in. This configuration can improve handling, makes the shotgun easier to stow and transport, and allows a pistol grip for enhanced control and comfort.
