The Lee Taper Crimp Die is designed to apply a consistent taper crimp for popular pistol cartridges including 9mm Luger, .38 Super, .38 ACP, and .380 ACP. It helps overcome crimp problems commonly caused by poor die design and is intended to produce reliable, uniform results for quality handloads. This die offers little or no advantage when used with 1986 or newer Lee dies, as those dies already feature a modified taper crimp angle. For jacketed bullets, a crimp groove is required.
