Manufactured from 416-R stainless steel with a bead-blasted exterior, it features 5R rifling designed to reduce jacket deformation for improved velocity potential and easier cleaning. After testing, Faxon applies a nitride treatment inside and out to enhance bore durability and corrosion resistance. The barrel extension is coated in Nickel Teflon to provide excellent dry lubricity, strong corrosion resistance, and a tighter fit between the extension and receiver.
