The Dead Air Xeno Brake is an omni-directional muzzle brake designed to reduce recoil when used unsuppressed and to serve as a lightweight, highly repeatable suppressor-mounting interface when paired with a Xeno Adapter-equipped suppressor. Its shorter length and lock-up positioning help keep the brake from sitting deep in the blast chamber, minimizing focused baffle erosion to help prolong suppressor life while supporting excellent sound performance. The Xeno Brake and Adapter mate using left-hand threads to reduce the chance of the adapter unthreading during removal, and both components feature accessible tooling surfaces for easier installation and removal even when the suppressor is installed. Constructed from nitrided 4140 steel with a black nitride finish, it is built for hardness and corrosion resistance.
