The Pow'RBall projectile uses a gilding metal jacket with a lead core formed into a patented V-shaped cavity, capped with a round polymer ball that is crimped in place by the copper jacket. In flight, the polymer ball helps streamline airflow for improved ballistics; on impact, it helps delay expansion to allow initial penetration before exposing the V-shaped cavity for proper expansion. The polymer cap also helps protect the hollow point cavity from clogging when passing through clothing or other barriers.
